back in sydney

after 3+ lovely weeks of holiday in malaysia, am now back in unilodge, sydney, typing this blog as i reminisce the times i enjoyed at home with family and friends. reluctant to start uni! unfortunately, vacations don't last forever. missing home already, so will use pictures to tell the story of the rest of my wonderfully 'chileksing' time these past 2 weeks...

went for a family trip to pangkor island. this is the view of our resort! on this trip, i lost my spectacles. how? they went flying into the sea over the bridge i was walking on when a gust of strong wind blew. tip: wear your specs, don't leave them hanging on the front of your shirt!

note to people who are planning to holiday in pangkor: snorkeling ain't that wonderful here. the water is too murky and polluted for you to clearly see the ugly drain-fish-lookalikes swimming around. the dead coral is also hazardous if you swim too close and the waves hammer you on the sharp edges. dad, mum and jace have first-hand knowledge of this. not exactly a pleasant experience!

silly people kok keong and ming don't know how to say they don't really fancy japanese cuisine. result: both of them downing konyaku jelly (which is estimated at a value of RM0.01 per glob) by the dozen. polly and stef: "say earlier marh!" at least we enjoyed it, yeah pollyanna? =P

enjoying makan-makan for a few weeks has its consequences by the way. i must now diet!!! haha... also, developed a kind of heat rash on my neck and face area. wonder if it was really due to the heat, or because i overstuffed myself on delicious unhealthy food! =S

the plane trip wasn't so bad, but lugging my really heavy luggage onto and off the bus was major mafanness. thanks tim, for all your help! and coming to see me at the airport. appreciate it! =)

after a few hours of unpacking, now my room has been restored to its former fully-stocked image. realized with a gasp of "aiyah, oh no!" that i forgot my thermos flask. which i need to bring my drink to uni. =(

in any case, have to set my brain to uni mode already. attempts may be futile though, since i feel permanently locked in lazy-holiday-party y'all! phase. tsk tsk...right now, although its getting late, have no inclination to sleep since i slept basically all afternoon after i got back from the airport. maybe will just go try anyway.
